my goodness, you generally have such a good poker face, Max! Will you admit that you were struggling not to smile as you added "of online trolls" to your statement of victimhood? It made ME laugh, at least. In case it should be said, I don't mean to diminish your pain, which I believe is real. And there is something so funny about Lindsay's "total candor" style of interaction and your unsuccessful attempts to get her to wallow a bit, followed by this statement. Again, no disrespect intended--I'd give each of you a big hug.

I'm so glad she mentioned her book, "too pretty to be good". I just checked it out from the library and am looking forward to reading it. I'm only a little over halfway through this interview (way behind on Max content due to the ongoing political meltdown) and Lindsay is one of the most dynamic and engaging and fully present guests I've seen here.

The last 10 minutes of the podcast felt heartbreaking. Hearing Lindsay fall for the same parenting traps she was a victim to despite everything that had happened to her was not what I expected. The comment about her two sons too.

I guess it's consistent with the fact that she's a lifelong victim, I'm glad Max didn't push the topic further in the end.

I'm only halfway through this, but I really wish you would give more context and explain the topic because it feels like I've had to piece it together.

Okay, I'll try to do a better job introducing topics.

Essentially, some men comment “fatherless behavior” on social media posts about women being or seeming slutty.

Lindsay writes personal stories about being a promiscuous teen, as well as her father dying when she was a teen, so the “fatherless behavior” comments are particularly cruel.
