I thought he was enjoying chewing on the "sure", he kept popping it back into his mouth. But maybe I'm autistic too. It seems like any time anyone misreads social behaviour they're autistic now.
Kevin is definitely autistic. “Would you like to share your theories, Kevin?” “Yes.” “….” “….” “What are your theories?” then he explains it’s funny because when you asked “would you like to share your theories?” he answered the question, he didn’t proceed to share his theories
I don’t think humanity having two ultimate goals, or a person believing individuals should dedicate their lives to one of two ultimate goals is paradoxical. I think you can say “hey, we’re gonna run out of fuel in 1000 billion years. Come help me make more fuel” and someone says “hm, i don’t know if we can. I’m gonna play a video game instead cause i only have 100 years.” and you can say “ok.”
I have become so accustomed to these interviews being dramatic and filled with tension between max and his increasingly frustrated guests, that I'm actually a bit disappointed that this convo was so calm and civil. I was expecting rage and fury and drama but got a light breeze instead.
Whoops, I shouldn't have assumed you would get the reference. Sorry!
In a recent hotline, Max said that he sees the audience as an entity that wants bad things to happen to him (like killing himself). He realizes that individuals might not want it, but as a whole, the group wants to see him embroiled in drama, failure and emotional turmoil.
I was referencing that since being disappointed that a conversation went well seems related.
I think there's a huge diff between wanting/expecting max to get into some drama with his guests, and wanting him to kill himself.
And to be fair, 9/10 of his interviews all end the same way, so it's natural for his audience to begin expecting it, and the ones who are left watching must get some enjoyment out of the chaos.
It would be nice to see you two chat more and watch you explore the jungle covered swamps on eachother's planets, to borrow your metaphor.
>o< poor kevin! feels like he was trying to engage w max but his autism clashed with max at the “sure”

You might be one of the people Max is talking about when he says the audience wants him to kill himself lol
What tf does my comment have to do with wanting max to die

That was wholesome, I enjoyed it!
